“The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU,” Riley Gaines was attacked and barricaded in a room for nearly three hours by violent protestors at a speaking event last night.

Former NCAA champion and women’s rights advocate Riley Gaines was speaking to students at San Francisco State University last night when a mob of violent trans-activists flooded the location where the event was taking place and assaulted her.

The event, titled “Saving Women’s Sports” and hosted by the Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute chapters on SFSU’s campus, had just concluded when a large group of students rushed the room Gaines was in and began shrieking “trans rights are human rights.”

As the deranged mob filled the classroom, officers and event volunteers rushed Gaines out through a separate exit. Gaines was chased down the hallway by protesters where she was “hit twice by a man” wearing a dress. The trans-activists verbally attacked her with intense hatred and vitriol while uncontrollably and incoherently screaming, displaying an utter lack of sanity.

“I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces.” Gaines said in a tweet following the event. “Still only further assures me that I’m doing something right. When they want you silent, speak louder.”

The students managed to barricade Gaines in a room as officers stood by the doorway, outnumbered and unable to disperse the massive group that had formed. Video footage shows the transgender activists screaming and demanding payment from Gaines before they would allow her to exit unharmed.

Conservative commentators on Twitter called the barricade a “hostage” situation. Matt Walsh, an outspoken critic against the trans-agenda explained, “There is nothing ambiguous about this. Harassment, intimidation, kidnapping.” Walsh also recommended that Gaines press charges against everyone who refused to allow her to safely exit the building.

“We are conducting an ongoing investigation into the situation. There were no arrests related to the event. The disruption occurred after the conclusion of the event which made it necessary for UPD officers to move the event speaker from the room to a different, safe location.”

SFSU Police official statement

A sit-in protest was organized by another group on campus, the Queer and Trans Resource Center (QTRC); however, it is unclear whether or not the club also organized the violence that ensued after the event’s conclusion.

Counter-protest promotions were shared on social media prior to Gaines’ event at SFSU.

“In just one week, violent radicals on THREE of America’s university campuses have attacked TPUSA events and speakers from coast to coast.

Last night at SFSU, TPUSA hosted a Saving Women’s Sports event with star swimmer [Riley Gaines] when radical Trans activists physically assaulted her and then barricaded her in a safe room for hours.

On Tuesday night, another TPUSA event at the University of Albany featuring pro-life speaker [Ian Haworth] was interrupted by Anti-Christian, far-left students who proceeded to destroy a Bible.

And last Thursday, far-left students hijacking a pro-life event at Virginia Commonwealth University featuring TPUSA speaker [Isabel Brown] and Students for Life’s [Kristan Hawkins], as protesters threw punches and injured a chapter president.”

Just last month, black-clad Antifa protestors assaulted officers at Kirk’s UC Davis speaking event, vandalized the building, and shattered glass doors while attempting to make their way into the event.

Conservative speakers on college campuses have seen an ever-increasing amount of hostility, threats, intimidation, and violence. Students, radicalized by the Marxist ideology embedded in their curriculum, have been emboldened by the lack of repercussions for their actions.

The backlash should only make conservatives more determined than ever to share the truth.

Gaines’ agent, Eli Bremer, told Fox News, “This will not stop Riley from boldly educating people of the dangers of biological males in women’s sports. She will continue to speak the truth against the radical left that no longer understands the difference between men and women.”

“I would have done anything to have Turning Point USA when I was your age, so it really is a true honor to be here today.”
