Protestors at Berkeley Prove that the Left Doesn’t even Like the Left
I was up in Berkeley, California at a rally with Charlie recently and had the chance to chat with some students while he was tabling. The kicker is that I was incognito and making my way around the crowd as an aloof bozo who didn’t know anything about anything. I was wearing a black t-shirt, a hoodie, and I didn’t identify myself at all as working for TPUSA.
I was walking around simply asking questions of those who were there to protest what Charlie had to say. Now, these people made the obvious points (without backing them up at all) about Turning Point and Charlie. They spouted the usual “RIGHT-WING EXTREMIST” or “CONSERVATIVE IDIOT” without giving any justification as to why they were yelling what they were yelling. That wasn’t all that unexpected BUT there was one consistent theme that took me by surprise (a little):
They couldn’t stand the current administration. When I asked questions like “Do you think President Biden is doing a good job?” they didn’t answer with an enthusiastic “YES!” Instead, they said, “LOLZ we hate him more than Charlie.”
Ok… That’s kind of surprising.
Now, I’d imagine that the younger students on campus don’t like the current administration because it’s not as woke as they want. But it is still something that the current President is less liked (anecdotally) by the students of arguably the most liberal university in America than TPUSA. Where does that leave us in the conversation of furthering American principles and ideals of freedom? I don’t really know. But it does show that the left doesn’t even seem to like the left.
