New York’s ‘Satanic’ Golden Statue Honoring Abortion

A disturbing new statue that many online are calling “satanic” now sits atop a New York City courthouse, created to honor the late Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and more importantly, her fight for abortion.
The eight-foot tall golden statue which now resides on the roof of the state courthouse, next to sculptures of historical figures such as Moses, Confucius, and Zoroaster, was created by a female, Pakistani-American artist, Shahzia Sikander.
Sikander claimed that her statue, which bares no resemblance to the classic, over 100 year old artwork surrounding it, is part of an “urgent and necessary cultural reckoning.”
“Shameful. Demonic. Disgusting NY,” one Twitter user wrote.
In addition to the many comments regarding the statue’s visual repugnance, many also feel that it has pagan symbolism, and certainly does not belong within the borders of the United States, a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principals.
“Despite years of women’s struggle for legal socio-economic and political equality, gender bias still continues to create barriers for many women, whether it is health and education rights, equal economic opportunities, gender-based violence and race, or class discrimination.”

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh explained that the progressive artists who create these monstrosities all over America are doing so because they despise tradition, everything new must resemble radical redefinitions of man, woman, human, and soul.
Progressivism is ugly, it detests natural beauty and prefers a skewed version of reality, such as the Frankenstein-like surgeries given to children in the name of equality and inclusion, or the ever-increasing number of pride flags and colors to match, none of which have rhyme or reason other than to be socially relevant.

In this case, progressivism has taken a historical building, filled with traditional, classic, and beautiful art, and created a monster out of it. A hideous representation of all that the left has to offer.
