Masks Are Harming Our Environment

Using a quote from the famous Dr. Seuss book “The Lorax,” the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is asking residents to be cautious of where they discard the masks used during the Pandemic.

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not,” the PFBC quoted from the book.

People have disposed of their masks in parks, rivers, trails, beaches, and other outdoor recreational locations worldwide.

Masks have been found floating around the Mediterranean Sea looking like jellyfish back in June, the Guardian reported. A Hong-Kong based environmental group estimates that 1.5 billion masks are expected to litter the oceans in 2021.

As awful as these mask mandates are, let’s do our part and dispose of them properly!

Are you a fan of reusable masks, or do you prefer the one use masks? Even though I prefer no mask at all, I try to wear reusable masks as much as possible.

“I’m convinced that the work by Turning Point USA and Charlie Kirk will win back the future of America.”
