Florida is the best place to live in the world right now. There, I said it. I’ve been a Floridian for seven months now, having escaped New York City after suffering through two months of lockdowns earlier this year, and I can’t be more pleased with life here. People take precautions in Florida, but we don’t exist in a Coronavirus hysteria bubble that is affecting big cities in states like Illinois, California, and New York.
Restaurants are open, and patrons (like myself) are happy to go along with some of the sillier mask mandates just because we’re HAPPY to be living like NORMAL FOLKS and helping to keep the economy running! Imagine that!
Contrast that to the miserable existence most trapped in big cities in lockdown states live in right now, and you can see exactly why most of the mainstream media has it in for Florida. Remember the #FloridaEpicenter hashtag? Remember the “Florida idiots” theme that went around when people were caught – GASP – WALKING ON THE BEACH earlier this year?
Desperately unhappy people in failing cities in lockdown states pass judgment on Florida, acting as if we’re stepping over dead bodies on our way to brunch when the exact opposite is true. We’re happy. We’re healthy. We’re living like human beings while taking necessary precautions to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe.
Other states could learn a big lesson from Florida. The only question is: are they willing to take it? I don’t know, but what I do know for now is that I’ll KEEP enjoying Florida. God bless it!
