Amid the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, President Biden has sanctioned Russia.
He has unfortunately said OUT LOUD that the sanctions are/were not designed to “stop anything from happening.”

This was an absolutely atrocious foreign policy mistake. Of course, there is a purpose to sanctions. But if sanctions are President Biden’s retaliation, then why in the world are we still buying oil from Russia?
Because we are not energy independent anymore!
The moment President Biden stepped into office, he shut down the keystone pipeline, along with all the other aspects which contributed to America’s energy independence under President Trump.
Thanks to President Biden, we are now DEPENDENT on foreign countries for our energy.
President Biden has put America in a very bad place.
So what role does America play now that we depend on other countries for energy if we want to intimidate Russia to stop attacking Ukraine?
