What You Need to Know About the New “Ministry of Truth”
We are taking a major step into the downfall of our great Republic: The US government has officially established a section under the Department of Homeland Security called the Disinformation Governance Board.
The Department of Homeland Security claims that this Board was created to prevent disinformation, but like any other monster that is created in government labs, I can all but guarantee it’s going to morph into new roles not originally intended.
A lot of questions immediately come to mind when we hear something as crazy as the leftists in our government having created their own 1984-esque Ministry of Truth to punish wrong-thinking dissidents.
Unfortunately, but predictably, it’s been nearly impossible to get any transparency on this newly established Board, other than the fact that it’s under DHS. But being part of DHS means that the Board would have law enforcement capabilities. What could this be for? To censor political thought?
This is a great example of how dangerous it is for us to outsource what is right and wrong, and what deserves to be censored versus what doesn’t. It turns out that our government isn’t very good at actually determining these things for us, especially when you consider the unjustified censorship of stories that turned out to be true!
Not only that, but according to a recent poll by Media Research Center, progressives admit that had they known the truth about stories like the New York Post’s “Hunter Biden laptop story,” they would have made different decisions at the ballot box.
Control of information matters, and if you don’t think that the new Disinformation Governance Board will be hell-bent on controlling information, then I have a nonexistent bridge to sell you.
