Late last year, you may remember an image going around social media of an elementary school billboard that advertised a “families of color playground night.” Despite that school district being called out for their blatant racism, they have recently made the news again for promoting racism to children.

According to the Colorado Gazette, Centennial Elementary School in the Denver, Colorado area is under fire for forcing young students to participate in the Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action, which takes place between January 31 through February 4. The newspaper reported that the annual event “encourages schools and educators to teach students about racial justice using 13 guiding principles: restorative justice, empathy, loving engagement, diversity, globalism, transgender affirming, queer affirming, collective value, intergenerational, Black families, Black villages, Black women and unapologetically Black.”

Not enough people are asking the obvious question: why are we talking to children—literal children—about something called “queer affirming” and “transgender affirming” values?

Why is the left so obsessed with racializing and sexualizing our kids’ educations? It’s creepy, gross, and weird, and someone needs to stand up strong against it.

Thankfully, someone is. A group called ‘Parents Defending Education’ posted the “guiding principles” of the event online.

Outreach Director of Parents Defending Education, Erika Sanzi, said that the principles were “indoctrination” and bordering on “abuse.” She and the other parents’ outrage was justified.

“It is preposterous and wholly inappropriate to teach 5- and 6-year-olds that they must commit to being trans-affirming and queer affirming and in favor of disrupting the nuclear family,” Sanzi noted in a statement. “If a parent wants to raise these subjects at home, that is one thing, but in a classroom, it is nothing more than social engineering and a theft of childhood by the state.”

The school responded with a weak excuse defending their actions, saying, “We are creating spaces to start important age-appropriate conversations about how our unique perspectives and experiences are contributions to our society that should be celebrated.” The school statement continued by explaining, “We are committed to developing critical thinkers who better understand problems in our society and work together to find solutions to those problems.”

None of that makes any sense, of course; you don’t employ racism in order to combat racism unless your objective is to create suspicion and sow division.

Even though the public school system relentlessly tries to destroy your children’s innocence by teaching them racism & Sexual Anarchy in the name of social justice, one positive thing is that parents are fighting back against the left-wing radicals. To read more, go to www.charliekirk.com.
