Darrell Brooks, the man suspected of plowing his vehicle through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin last year, killing six people and injuring more than 60, is facing trial for the act of horrific violence. Though he has no prior legal training, he has chosen to represent himself in court, and has been repeatedly disruptive and disrespectful according to Judge Dorow, who is presiding over his case.
At one point throughout the hearing, Brooks accused Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Dorow of being unfair stating, “You’re not being fair, you’re not being fair though.”
“I am fair.”
“Mr. Brooks you have interrupted me repeatedly. You are on the verge of being removed to that courtroom. I don’t want to do that.”
“I think it has more to do with your lack of understanding of the rules of evidence and the rules of procedure which you knowingly and freely and voluntarily and deliberately made a choice to represent yourself.“

Later in the proceedings, Brooks questioned a witness to the crime, who stated, “I heard a horn beeping, and then a Ford Escape came through the parade routes, and you drove past me and wouldn’t stop and you continued driving into the parade route.”
Brooks asked who the witness was referring to when he said “you,” to which the witness responded, “Darrell Brooks, the defendant, seated at the table.” This is when Brooks deployed a tactic similar to those used by men trying to be placed in women’s prisons — either for their own disordered predations or for softer treatment — and claimed a different identity.

Recently, many men have suddenly and conveniently “changed their gender” after being convicted of a crime, which allows them to transfer to women’s prisons. One of the many problems with this, is the fact that numerous violent offenders, such as rapists and even pedophiles, have used this loophole of justice to place themselves in an environment where they will be surrounded by potential victims.
This is the logical conclusion of identity politics, after all, a man, who was a male yesterday, can be a female today, without changing any aspect of his physical or biological reality. So why couldn’t Brooks identify as someone else all together?

Eventually, Brooks’ interruptions became so severe that Judge Dorow removed him temporarily, moving him to a separate courtroom and continued the trial via video call. During this time, Brooks removed his shirt while on camera, while the trial was ongoing, creating yet another bizarre interruption.
“He removed his jail uniform shirt, sat on the table and turned his back to the camera. He took a sign he was given to hold up to the camera to signal objections and stuck it down the front of his pants.”
“He jabbed the table with his finger and then requested medical attention for a cut on one of his fingers.”

Multiple attorneys involved in the trial have stated that they find Brooks’ actions to be intentional, in an attempt to delay the trial’s conclusion, given that four separate psychologists have deemed him “fit to stand trial.”
“It’s very clear to this court that everything that he has done as outlined by the state and made evident on the record of these proceedings, that it is the sole intent of Mr. Brooks to make a mockery of this process.”

Left-wing media has conveniently avoided this story since it broke because it didn’t fit their predetermined narrative. Prior to his violent outburst at the Waukesha Christmas parade, Brooks allegedly hit the mother of his child in the face before he ran her over with his vehicle. According to the New York Post, “he was released five days before the Waukesha rampage on a cash bail of just $1,000 set by liberal Milwaukee County prosecutors.” That of course was not the only prior on the career criminals violent history.
Brooks’ Facebook page, which is under the name “MathBoi Fly,” contained an alarming number of posts calling for violence against white people, extreme hatred of police officers, and even made disgusting statements such as, “Hitler was right.”
This was a man who protested the death of George Floyd, and bought into the lies being sold to him by the left: black people are oppressed, there is systemic racism, you cannot do anything about it but riot. This narrative is what has been dubbed “the bigotry of low expectations,” and it create absolute chaos in communities, and in a country. This is what leads to deeper racial divides, and what might even lead a man to believe that all white people are evil.
The trial for Brooks is ongoing, and will continue to showcase the danger of catch and release criminal policy, known, violent, repeat offenders should not ever have the opportunity to commit back to back crimes, tormenting their communities.
