The University of Wisconsin-Madison campus was found to have violent anti-ICE displays, continuing a trend of similar imagery appearing on the public school’s campus in recent weeks.
Displays recently posted near the school’s Lutheran Campus Ministry, Sterling Hall, and along University Avenue included messages such as “the only good fascist is a dead fascist.” Another depicted a pig being punched and bloodied. A separate graphic included the same phrase alongside “speak their language” and an image of a Ku Klux Klan hood with a gunshot wound in the head.
The displays follow a report last week that campus police were investigating imagery that showed an ICE agent being shot in the head with a similar phrase, one of which was spotted by a TPUSA member.
According to the student newspaper, the Madison Federalist, additional stickers were found that included anti-Israel messages. One read “Death to Israel,” another featured a drawing of a paraglider in reference to Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and another read “Sinwar Lives” in reference to former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
In a statement to Fox News, a school spokesperson said that UW-Madison “condemns violence of all kinds.”
“As we’ve said previously, UW-Madison continues to condemn violence of all kinds,” the spokesperson said. “If a student is in need of support of any kind, they are encouraged to reach out and meet with our Office of Student Assistance and Support. If stickers are found on campus by individuals, they can be reported to UWPD to be investigated and removed.”
There has been an uptick recently of anti-conservative and anti-ICE imagery being plastered on college campuses by far-left activists, including multiple incidents this fall where violent or threatening messages targeting law enforcement or right-leaning groups have been discovered on public university grounds.
