After colleges and universities nationwide have mandated the COVID-19 vaccine to students, some have gone one step further to actually disenroll students who failed to comply with the mandate.
Virginia Tech and Xavier University in New Orleans have led the charge, with Xavier’s Chief of Staff and Vice President of Administration saying the “pathway to success for these students we serve was to mandate to vaccinate.”
Virginia Tech announced this fall they had disenrolled more than 130 students who “either did not submit their vaccination documentation or did not receive an exemption.”
