Student indoctrination from The Left is nothing new. However, the assumption was always that it occurred on a collegiate level. In the past few years, this indoctrination has quickly crept down to the elementary school level. Yes, children as young as five are aggressively force-fed opinion-based information about sex, gender, racism, protesting, elections and slavery.
Anyone with young children knows that these concepts are not age-appropriate for young children. Parents often feel trapped when they learn that their children are learning a leftist social agenda in math, science and reading. They don’t know where to turn or what to do.
Finally, there are a few solutions. Starting with higher education, there is a group called The Fire. Basically, they defend YOUR rights on campuses across the country. They are truly 100% non-partisan. If leftists deserve freedom, so do folks on the right. They think that everyone should have equal freedom. Sadly, this is a novel concept these days. According to their website, “FIRE’s mission is to defend and sustain the individual rights of students and faculty members at America’s colleges and universities. These rights include freedom of speech, freedom of association, due process, legal equality, religious liberty, and sanctity of conscience—the essential qualities of liberty. FIRE educates students, faculty, alumni, trustees, and the public about the threats to these rights on our campuses, and provides the means to preserve them.”
As for younger children, Parents Defending Education is an amazing resource. According to their website, “Parents Defending Education is a national grassroots organization working to reclaim our schools from activists promoting harmful agendas. Through network and coalition building, investigative reporting, litigation, and engagement on local, state, and national policies, we are fighting indoctrination in the classroom — and for the restoration of a healthy, non-political education for our kids.” They even have a section on their website where you can report inappropriate actions within schools.
Other ways to effectuate change are running for local office. Whether it is school board, city council or something else, you must get involved. You don’t need to have children in the school or have kids at all. Anyone who resides in a specific area can run.
You obviously know the positive impact and resources Turning Point USA has and continues to provide on college campuses. It’s incredible to see more organizations form and individuals step up to fight against indoctrination. Kids need our help.
Get involved. Be part of the solution. Let’s build a brighter future together.
