The Trump administration has unveiled a new recruitment campaign aimed at bolstering staff at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), calling on American citizens to “defend the homeland.”

The campaign follows a significant funding increase for ICE included in the recently passed “Big, Beautiful Bill,” signed into law by President Donald Trump. The funding enables ICE to dramatically increase its enforcement and deportation operations.

On a new recruitment website launched by ICE, the agency calls for recruits to join as a deportation officer, criminal investigator, or general attorney.

“Your country is calling upon you to serve. Due to the prior administration’s disastrous immigration policies, the men and women of ICE now face unprecedented challenges,” the website states. “You are critically needed to secure our communities and uphold our laws.”

“The Trump Administration is fully committed to supporting the dedicated law enforcement professionals who secure our borders, shield our communities, and protect our national security and public safety,” it continues. “This is a pivotal moment in our country’s history, and your experience and expertise are vitally needed.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem shared promotional graphics from the campaign featuring herself, President Trump, ICE Director Todd Lyons, and an ICE agent, along with the slogans  “Defend the Homeland” and “Join ICE.”

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also posted a recruitment message on X, writing, “Terrorists. Pedophiles. MS-13 Gang members. Murderers. Rapists. Drug traffickers. Human traffickers. We need YOU to get them out,” alongside a photo of Uncle Sam pointing that says, “America needs you.”
