As I’ve sat back and taken in the news stories about hundreds of healthcare workers all across the country being unceremoniously fired because they refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine, I can’t help but think back to all the things the Left said about these people during the early days of the pandemic. These people were our heroes, superstars, lifesavers! In fact, this wasn’t a Left or Right thing: we ALL appreciated and supported the front-line healthcare workers who were so important and crucial during the early days of the pandemic. But then…something changed.
Now, these so-called “heroes” that have decided not to get vaccinated are now the pariahs of the Left. They are getting fired, dumped, unceremoniously cast aside like common trash. This is very typical of how the Left treats their toys once they can no longer be used to push a political agenda.
The scariest and most deeply unsettling thing about all of this is that, now, the personal and private health decisions of others has become prime political fodder, advanced by a “movement” that has very little to show for the fact that they hold every lever of power in American society right now. EVERYTHING. And yet, they still can achieve absolutely nothing besides demonizing the “other side” who currently holds no power.
I thank these healthcare workers for their service, but if anything comes of this, I hope that some of these people are waking up to the lies of the Left….but I’m not counting on it.
