TPUSA’s BLEXIT Chapter in North Carolina Hosts ‘Grow with BLEXIT’

Last month, Turning Point USA’s BLEXIT chapter in North Carolina hosted “Grow with BLEXIT,” an event aiming to present new and fulfilling hobbies to low-income youth. The purpose of “Grow with BLEXIT” is to promote productive recreation, and to prevent youth living in high-risk communities from becoming involved in illicit activities.
Low-income individuals in the United States are more likely to commit crimes according to several statistics collected over recent years. The cause for this, however, is a highly contended political debate. The left would suggest that the higher levels of theft seen among impoverished communities is a result of systemic oppression, which has created food deserts, a lack of opportunity, and an uphill battle for these individuals. Many conservatives would argue that higher levels of crime and incarceration is a testament to the values and practices being upheld within the community and family units, and a lack of socioeconomic opportunities is a result of rampant crime.
To combat this negative, cyclical cycle, TPUSA promotes traditional American values by educating and empowering the next generation to reject the victimhood mentality and pursue economic independence.
TPUSA’s BLEXIT chapter in North Carolina seeks to turn the tide for young Americans living in these high-risk communities by providing opportunities to study history and entrepreneurship and develop useful skills. The “Grow with BLEXIT” initiative taught young adults how to grow food sustainably, giving them a practical hobby that can be used to care for themselves and others.
By encouraging hard work, ingenuity, and positive collaboration, TPUSA’s BLEXIT initiative will continue to uplift minority and low-income communities across the U.S.
Turning Point USA’s BLEXIT (black exit) initiative was established to empower all by abolishing the victimhood mentality that holds many back from pursuing freedom and obtaining the American Dream.
