The intolerant left never ceases to amaze me. This time, deranged mask-worshiping students left TPUSA student activist Peter Christos to be assaulted while spineless teachers stood by on Glenbrook North High School’s campus.

Glenbrook High School senior Peter Christos decided to rally students together this past Friday to show up to school without their mandatory face diapers. Christos was attempting to draw attention to the illogical nature of the school’s mandatory mask policy in light of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s decision to retract the statewide mask mandate, excluding schools, beginning March 1.

Christos had support from roughly one hundred students when he was met at the cafeteria entrance by the GBN principal. Peter Christos courageously held a brief speech in front of his peers highlighting how the “real crisis” for young people is “gun violence, gang violence, and mental health” in the violent streets of Chicago.

He explained that “more kids have died in the city of Chicago from gangs than across all of America from COVID. They don’t want to acknowledge that students are at the lowest risk. So, on February 28, when [Gov.] Pritzker stopped the mask mandates for anyone to go to casinos, bars, restaurants, or shopping—they can be elderly; they can have preexisting conditions—they could have all these things, but they don’t have to wear a mask. But the students who are at the lowest risk have to wear masks eight hours a day in the classroom? It’s ridiculous.”

When asked what advice Christos would give to his peers who might be considering activism, he said, “In life, there’s always going to be a counter-argument. There’s always going to be disagreement, but you need to do what’s right for yourself and your future. We can’t just sit by and let what’s happening happen without acknowledging and holding these certain people, school boards, politicians accountable. And I urge everyone like me to get involved before it’s too late.”

Once the group dispersed and Christos was let back into the general student population, he was confronted by another student who physically assaulted him.

Christos described how he was simply walking to class, and the aggravated student swore at him, saying, “f**k you, wear a mask” while flipping him off and reaching for him. Christos explained how his hand was cut, and the student tried grabbing him from behind, all while four teachers were standing by, some of whom actually cheered the perpetrator on. After the fact, Christos said that the teacher’s excuse for allowing this behavior to take place was that the aggravator had “special needs.”

The bullying only continued from this point on. Once the Cancel Culture mob began doing what they do best—pulling up old photos from social media to destroy someone’s reputation—people began screenshotting a photo of Christos with a TPUSA sign and reposting it with horrific lies, slogans, and slurs. The cyberbullies created fake Wikipedia pages about Christos, spreading extremely false and hurtful narratives about him.

This is when I found out about Peter Christos and decided to get involved in his courageous fight. Students like Peter take personal risks in speaking out against authoritarian actions of government schools that are not supported by “The Science” but instead are motivated by an authoritarian need to control others around them. I want students like Peter to know they are not alone in this fight, which is why Turning Point USA organized the “No Forced Masks Rally” in his local community.

For those that do not know, I am very familiar with the Glenbrook North area—I went to school just down the road in Wheeling, Illinois—and I am excited and inspired to be coming back to Illinois this evening to speak with fellow Chicagoans about the need to rise up and fight for medical freedom.

The “No Forced Masks Rally” will take place tonight, at 7:00 PM ET at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois. Register now to hear me, Leslie Mendoza, and Peter Christos speak about the importance of medical freedom, standing up for our God-given liberties, and living without fear.
