Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters is seeking to establish a Club America chapter on every Oklahoma high school, if not already existing.
Walters declared his intention, which was announced Tuesday, on X.
“The radical left celebrates his death, but they do not understand the movement that has been created,” Walters said.
The Superintendent’s office issued a press release providing details on the initiative.
“Turning Point USA has made it possible for any student to start one of their TPUSA Club America high school chapters, giving students across the country the opportunity to organize, lead, and advocate for American values in their schools,” the release began. “Whether enrolled in a public school, private school, or homeschool, students now have the tools to start a chapter on their campus and make their voices heard.”
“Starting a Chapter is Simple,” the release further stated, providing steps for students looking to bring TPUSA to their schools.
“Step 1: Gather at least three students from the same school.
Step 2: Complete the official Chapter Charter Agreement.
Step 3: Once submitted, your group will be officially recognized as a Club America chapter.”
“Charlie Kirk inspired a generation to love America, to speak boldly, and to never shy away from debate,” Walters said. “Our kids must get involved and active. We will fight back against the liberal propaganda, pushed by the radical left, and the teachers unions. Our fight starts now.”
According to Straight Arrow News, Walters is also investigating “at least 12 Oklahoma school districts and over 470 Oklahoma teachers for not complying with a state-mandated moment of silence in the wake of Kirk’s death.”
Additionally, Walters will utilize Libs of TikTok founder Chaya Raichik to assist with this initiative. Raichik will serve on Oklahoma’s Department of Education Library Media Advisory Committee.
