TPUSA Chapter President Faces Possible Deportation From The United States Over Tabling Materials On Campus
Radical leftists at Emerson College are currently succeeding in their totalitarian tirade against the campus’ Turning Point USA chapter.
Sam Neves, president of the school’s TPUSA chapter, experienced repeated harassment by leftist students calling him a “Nazi.” Neves is Jewish.
The chapter is now not only under attack by these on-campus radical students, but now also the school’s administration, professors, and a large portion of the student body are targeting the group for apparent hatred towards Chinese people. But what actually happened?
The TPUSA chapter was promoting anti-CCP (Chinese Communist Party) merch and materials.
Newsflash: The CCP has been oppressing the people of China (many who luckily made it to America’s shores and are now living the American dream) for decades. The CCP has murdered more people than Nazi Germany. The CCP currently has concentration camps and forced labor programs tied to American corporations.
The CCP is disgusting, and deserves every attack it receives. To hold the CCP accountable for its crimes against humanity is NOT showing hatred to Chinese people. I would argue it’s actually showing solidarity with Chinese people and Chinese Americans who have suffered greatly because of the CCP.
But no, apparently facts don’t matter at Emerson College, where students and their parents have the luxury of paying the school $50,000 per year to be indoctrinated into idiotic and dangerous Marxists for four years.
The president of the entire college, the school’s international student’s department, and several other college administrators released statements assigning racist malice to the meme stickers on the table of TPUSA that condemned the chapter, without reaching out to speak with anyone from Turning Point USA beforehand.
For the cherry on top, TPUSA’s Vice President that was distributing the stickers herself is a Chinese-Singaporean.
Even with that fact, the chapter now faces removal from campus and all board members face potential disciplinary action by the school. Because Sam is an international student, some of the potential disciplinary actions could get him deported from the United States.
TPUSA’s campus coordinator KJ Lynum said, “Our president was all too quick to virtue signal his view that this was Asian hate, without investigating. In an over eager attempt to show that he is sensitive to racial issues, he is risking the immigration status of one student and condemning a member of the broader community he’s claiming to protect. This isn’t about condemning hate, it’s centered in him making himself look empathetic.”
This is totalitarianism 101 occurring right here on American soil: more specifically, on our American college campuses. What is totalitarianism? The removal of any and all thought opposition from the public square and positions of power.
