“I want the entire world to burn until the last cop is strangled with the intestines of the last capitalist, who is strangled in turn with the intestines of the last politician.”
This quote from a September Facebook post takes the cake for the best example of the tolerant left! Even worse, it’s from a COLLEGE PROFESSOR WHO TEACHES A CLASS ABOUT ETHICS!
You might have naively assumed that this resulted in his termination, but no! This is 2020, folks. Professor Nathan Jun was protected and defended by his employer, Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Here’s what they said:
“Occasionally, individuals will express opinions that may be offensive and even shocking but are nonetheless entitled to First Amendment protection. When our faculty members speak or write as citizens within the confines of the law, they are free from institutional censorship or discipline.”
“Though we take advantage of every opportunity to encourage all members of the campus community to express their opinions in a civil, respectful manner, we view avoidance of censorship as an important part of maintaining the culture of diversity of opinion and academic freedom that is so important to our role as a public university.”
Here’s my problem with this: when a conservative express innocent and fundamental political values that leftists disagree with, they are quickly attacked and punished publicly. Their speech is deemed violent and a threat to leftist livelihoods.
But when this leftist professor calls for cops to be strangled to death with the intestines of capitalists (safe to assume the capitalists in this scenario are also getting killed in the process), it’s a show of diverse and free speech.
I know things are getting crazy on campuses, but did you guys expect this Texas college reaction? I did not!
