After all of the hype of Tim Tebow getting another shot at the NFL, this time as a tight end, following a 3-year stint in minor league baseball, his run lasted only one preseason game…

While it should not have shocked anyone that the former Heisman-winning QB was provided an opportunity to prove himself as a tight end under his former college coach at the University of Florida, Urban Meyer, the 34 year-old left much to be desired following the Jags first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.

While sports media will spend the whole day hounding Tim Tebow for “taking the spot” of a young tight end, crushing Urban Meyer and the whole Jaguars organization for this “experiment,” this may be the worst take of them all…

Yep. Because Tebow got a shot at a position that he was tested at when he was in the 2010 NFL Combine after winning a Heisman trophy as a QB, for a team lead by his former Florida head coach, the NFL and its Commissioner, Roger Goodell are racist… Good grief.

All that nonsense aside, I guarantee this won’t take any more of Tebow’s mental space. He gave it a go and it didn’t work out. It was not worth it for the Jaguars to hold on to him because, in my opinion, (I’m sure he’d admit this too), he wasn’t helping any of his teammates that were trying to make the roster. He made some Browns players look like superstars while hurting his teammate’s chances at their dreams of making the league. That’s why he had to be let go.

He filled out the jersey well (as you can see below) but he won’t be filling this or any other team’s roster. Now he’ll probably go back to a plush studio to talk about football, keep sharing his faith and continue shining a positive light in our crazy world.

Thanks for the memories, Tim. Your arms will be missed.
