A restaurant chain who bragged about lowering the percentage of white employees suffered badly when they decided to send out this tweet on Jan 1. of this year.
One viewer of the CAVA tweet replied, “Almost sounds like…discriminatory labor practices.”
I am so tired of hearing people go back and forth about race issues. If we could all go back to getting along now, that would be great! Can I also add that racism is ugly, and no race, in particular, is immune to it?
We have to check ourselves at a heart level and ensure that we don’t carry animosity toward anyone or any people group for unwarranted reasons. We have to work toward reconciliation, and yes, that means ALL of us, no matter your ethnicity or race.
Jesus said it best: Love your neighbor like yourself. He said many other things that would help out our cultural climate, too, if only we would all give them a try.
