When does the target on law enforcement end? How many more families have to lose members protecting each and everyone one us until something changes?
In 2020, 283 law enforcement officers were shot, with 44 being fatally wounded. An Instagram post by @Fopnational showed a 7% increase from 2019 and a 29% increase from 2018 in officers being shot. Yes, you may have an excuse for the rise- between the riots, the elections, COVID-19, and all the madness 2020 has brought along, but no reason is worth someone’s life.
I have friends across the US who have recently quit being in law enforcement because they feel endangered for their life. Several officers are scared to fire back in hostile situations because they are worried about the outcome if they shoot and kill an armed criminal who is endangering other individuals.
