‘They Don’t Think It’s Cool to Have Someone OD’ing on Fentanyl Right Outside Your House’ — Tucker Carlson at AmFest 2024

Renowned conservative commentator Tucker Carlson wrapped up the first day of AmericaFest, following a dynamic lineup of speeches from other speakers.

Carlson was met with great applause as he walked onto the stage.

“[I] feel like Ozzy Osborne walking out here!” he said on arriving to the podium.

In his speech, Carlson addressed the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election and the factors he believes contributed to its outcome. He mentioned issues that matter to American voters:

“They think if you break the law you should be punished. They don’t think it’s cool to have someone OD’ing on fentanyl right outside your house.”

Beyond political matters, much of Carlson’s address focused on the philosophical and moral challenges facing the nation, highlighting the resistance conservatives have shown to these issues in recent years.

One of the issues Carlson criticized was feminism. He discussed its impact on American society, particularly among leaders who advocate for a feminist worldview. The commentator went on to describe a particular type of feminist and the behavior they often display towards others:

“This woman is miserable and that informs all her views,” Carlson said. They represent the “politics of affluent unhappy people who have everything but nothing at all. For them life has no meaning. [They] externalize disappointment and hate on everyone else.”

Carlson also applauded the work of TPUSA Founder and CEO Charlie Kirk and the impact of the movement he founded. He deemed the hard work shown by Kirk exemplary of success in America.

After Q&A from the audience, Carlson made a call to action to Americans:

“Someone needs to represent you on big issues that actually matter… real issues…that’s up to us. Don’t be charmed by them. Force them.”
