The world is in panic mode again after the latest variant of the COVID-19 virus has emerged–Omicron.

Scary name, scary virus… right?

The truth about the death rate of the Omicron variant may shock you.

According to the World Health Organization, the Omicron variant has been detected in at least 38 countries–but not a single person has died from this variant of the virus.

NOT. ONE.

So, sure, let’s ban travel from certain regions of the world, seriously consider mandating a third booster of the vaccine, contemplate further restrictions on gatherings for the holidays, and more–all over a variant of a virus that has not killed ONE PERSON.

As of the end of last week, several U.S. states had identified the presence of the Omicron variant within their borders. The Guardian reported, “New Jersey, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and Utah each reported their first cases of Omicron. It has also been found in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, and New York. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was investigating possible cases of the Omicron variant in other states.”

Time will tell if the hysteria for Omicron will be justified in the end, but today, it appears the emotional response is far worse than the physical symptoms.
