Today is Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity where people are encouraged to give financially or voluntarily to their favorite charities and non-profits. These are my top favorite charities if you need some inspiration to support and get involved!
This is a charity started by pro-life spokeswoman and former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson. She created it to help current abortion industry workers, and even doctors leave their jobs. ATTWN is free, helps these people find new jobs, pays their bills, fights legally, and helps with healing long-term.
2. Exodus Cry
This non-profit has gotten a lot of attention recently after Melissa McCarthy gave them money and then took it back after finding out the CEO is pro-life. Exodus Cry fights to rescue people from human trafficking, the sex worker industry, and the porn industry. They make powerful digital media to open people’s eyes, work to change laws, and offer victims of sexual exploitation a safe way out.
One of my very favorite organizations that specialize in helping children in the foster care system find permanency in regards to a place to live who are victims of abuse. Volunteers who become CASA’s, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, are appointed by the juvenile court to make a profound difference in a child’s life. Anyone can do this; you don’t have to be a social worker. If you can’t volunteer your time, you can give financially as well.
D2L also helps kids but in a different way. They help ADULTS learn how to prevent childhood sexual abuse through awareness, education, and stigma reduction. They offer classes around the country that you can attend for a few hours in a day to get certified on spotting the signs in children in your community. I’ve done it! Get trained in person or online or give.
I mean…it would be weird if I didn’t mention us, right? TPUSA identifies, educates, trains, and organizes students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government. Turning Point USA believes that every young person can be enlightened to true free market values. We support conservative students on campuses daily, covering all 50 states, have an award winning productions department that creates social media shows (like POPlitics) and content that gets millions of views across all social media platforms. Our events bring out thousands of young conservatives across the country, creating a buzz for activists to go out into their communities and have mind-changing conversations. We’re the most prominent conservative youth organization in America.
