In Hood County, Texas, Williamson Road will be dedicated to the late Founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk, with the goal of ensuring “that his legacy continues to inspire future generations.”

The new name for the road will be “Charlie Kirk Parkway.” The county commissioners issued a proclamation detailing their purpose for the memorialized roadway.

“Under his visionary leadership, Turning Point USA grew into one of the most influential conservative youth organizations in the United States, with a presence on over 3,000 high school and college campuses, inspiring millions of young Americans to engage in civic life,” the proclamation reads, which was obtained by Fort Worth Star-Telegram

“He was a steadfast voice for moral clarity and truth in public discourse,” the proclamation continues, “declaring that: ‘Truth is not relative. It is eternal, and it must be defended,’ and through this conviction, he inspired countless individuals to stand firm in their beliefs and uphold the foundational values of our republic.”

The decision will be formalized Tuesday, with a forthcoming dedication ceremony yet to be announced.

According to the Star-Telegram, “Hood County commissioners will present a proclamation on Tuesday to dedicate Williamson Road, a two-mile rural road south of Granbury between Glen Rose Highway and Canyon Creek.”

In September 2025, a highway west of Orlando, Florida, was named after Charlie Kirk, becoming the first national road to be named so. Other states have followed this trend and have pending legislation for Charlie Kirk highway memorials.
