Switzerland Considers Jailing Residents Who Dare to Heat Their Homes This Winter

Amid the self-created energy crisis affecting nearly all of Europe, Switzerland, home to the W.E.F.‘s annual Davos meeting, has announced that it may fine or even imprison residents who raise the temperatures in their homes above 66 degrees this coming winter.
According to a report by Switzerland Times, the the Swiss government is concerned that they might reach an emergency status, in which there will not be enough gas in winter. If that is to be the case, the article reports that the government will “crack down” on households using more than their prescribed share of energy.
“But it gets even worse: Anyone who violates the guidelines faces imprisonment or a fine. In the case of intentional action, a prison sentence of up to three years or a fine is possible. Even in the case of negligent violations of the measures, a fine of up to 180 daily rates is conceivable.“
Switzerland Times
The daily fine rate for violators of the new rule would fall anywhere between 30 francs and 3,000 francs, which is equivalent to $31 and $3,090 US dollars. Other punishment options for repeat heat offenders are imprisonment, and I highly doubt the country will be allocating any energy to heating the cells.
This is horrifying totalitarianism, globalism, and climate-change top-down theocracy all rolled into one. I just truly hope California doesn’t catch wind of this report, they’re already heading down a similar path by asking residents to refrain from cooling their homes to prevent power outages.
The war on fossil fuels has taken a much-anticipated turn, and people are beginning to realize the necessity for natural gas, or potentially nuclear energy. There is not a net-zero world out there, just waiting to be discovered, not anytime soon anyways.
