Stop Buying Into The Left’s Narrative About January 6
Let’s be clear: what happened at the Capitol on January 6th was stupid, ill-advised, and cast a shadow over the entire Conservative movement that will not be easily stepped out of. But we should also resist the Left’s attempts to define this, subvert the reason people were in Washington, DC on January 6th, and to smear the entire movement as White Supremacists and domestic extremists.
There is a reason why The Left wants to speak of nothing else besides January 6th. Inflation is raging, the border is a hot mess, and gas is hitting highs not seen in the past six years. In short, those in power right now are making a disaster out of America, and The Left wants to talk about something – ANYTHING – other than what is playing out before the eyes of most Americans right at this moment.
There is another, more insidious reason The Left is determined to smear Conservatives as racist, White Supremacist domestic extremists: it helps them gain political power. Why else would “Anti-Racism” reading start becoming recommended to new recruits into the U.S. Military at this moment? Why else would there be a pointless and politically motivated “stand down” against “domestic extremism?” Why else were there thousands of National Guard troops stationed in Washington DC for MONTHS after January 6th?
It was a show of political force, as is the constant smearing of anyone who supported the movement, which brought tens of thousands of people to make their voices heard in Washington, DC on that fateful day. The Left wants to use this to screen out any conservative-leaning people from even attempting to enter the Armed Forces. The Left wants to do social media checks, background checks, anything they can do to purge any diversity of thought from the military ranks – and those who seek to join it.
The Left is engaging in lies, deceit, and propaganda about what happened in DC on January 6th in an attempt to squash dissent and negatively define those who do for an entire generation – and to send a message even to Liberals that dissent and questions will not be tolerated, lest even their acolytes end up on the receiving end of the lies and smears.
This is dangerous, un-American, and Conservatives need to stop buying into it. Stop allowing the Left to define any and everything. Stop allowing them to smear people in our movement. And above all, STOP allowing the Left to continue their lies and demonization about those who participated in the peaceful protest in Washington, DC on January 6th and conflating them with the overzealous rioters who took over the Capitol. Condemn the riots, but defend the peaceful protesters – and never allow ANY of us to lose sight of WHY they were all there.
