The U.S. Department of State, led by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, posted a press release on Thursday honoring “Intersex Awareness Day,” amid ongoing global chaos and two major wars.
“Today in celebration and recognition of Intersex Awareness Day, we affirm the United States’ commitment to promoting and protecting the human rights of Intersex persons globally,” the press release read. “It is the policy of the United States to pursue an end to violence and discrimination on the bases of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and sex characteristics.”
“Intersex” refers to individuals who possess a biological anomaly in which they are born with both male and female sex organs or characteristics. According to a study published in the National Institute of Health’s Library of Medicine, the “true prevalence of intersex is … about 0.018%” of the U.S. population. This condition, though rare, has been adopted into the LGBTQIA+ rainbow because some activists believe the physical ailment serves as justification for gender-bending identities.
The press release also stated, “Intersex persons often face stigma and discrimination in accessing education, healthcare, and legal recognition, and are subjected to medically unnecessary surgeries. These harmful practices, which can cause lifelong negative physical and emotional consequences, are a medical form of so-called conversion therapy practices in that they seek to physically ‘convert’ Intersex children into non-Intersex children.”
“We applaud all activists, organizations and governments working to raise visibility and protect intersex persons’ rights to bodily integrity and to ensure equal protection and recognition before the law,” it added.
The federal government has made LGBTQ activism a core aspect of its mission in recent years; however, many American people are losing confidence in its ability to cope with ongoing foreign conflict while its priorities clearly lie outside of national security. New polling revealed that the most dramatic drop in confidence concerns the U.S. military, which has readily embraced gender ideology, and Marxism, and has even listed “diversity” as a “strategic imperative.”
As two major foreign conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East continue to intensify, Americans have criticized the Department of State’s press release for being inappropriate given the ongoing global tension.
