As COVID protocols have fundamentally transformed the American education experience, one courageous student in Washington State has gotten a personal lesson in the Left’s demand to comply–or else.
Melanie Gabriel from Skyview High School in Vancouver, Washington, was given a medical exemption from wearing masks at school. Of course, “exemption” didn’t mean Melanie was given the green light to experience classes normally. Her administration forced her to sit in the back of the class surrounded by no one, as her teachers began to publicly ridicule and bully her for her medical exemption.
Feeling targeted and unsafe, Melanie called her mother, who came to the school. The police were called and threatened to arrest Melanie’s mom, and once Melanie was allowed back inside the locked school, teachers refused to let her back into class.
Rather than allow the Left to control the narrative, Melanie took matters into her own hands and started a public protest against mask mandates outside. Hundreds of other students joined her to show their support!
