My, oh my! How the tables have turned!
Showtime TV recently announced that its show “The First Lady” will not be renewing for a second season, and the show is officially cancelled.
During her husband’s two terms in office, Michelle Obama was known as the empathizer to the nation and a face of peace. But in my honest opinion, she was just as ignorant and intolerant as the woke left that screams at those with differing viewpoints from their own.
During the Obama administration there was nothing that the Former first Lady did as enlightening, motivational or even creative. Meanwhile, she found ways to use blackness and femininity as a weapon.
Now to be fair, rather than just being happy that there wouldn’t be a return of another season I decided to force myself to sit through the first season and didn’t make it past episode 2!
I always find it amusing that the people who do the most damage are the ones who then go on media tours of the century when they did nothing to get there. Remember former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s book tour after the email scandal? Or Dr. Anthony Fauci’s motivational documentary after his controversial Senate hearings throughout covid-19? Showtime’s TV show for Michelle Obama portrayed her life the way she wanted to been rather than what actually happened.
With critics across the board slamming the show with negative reviews and and almost a dying audience that was dropping numbers, showtime made the smart move to cancel the show and not bring it back leaving the actress who portrayed Michelle Obama devastated and upset! But what are you supposed to say when something is awful?! How about the truth! For once a harsh dose of reality was dealt and was not because the actress was African American or because she was a woman it was simply because it was terrible, take it from me.
So ask yourself this: If critics and American viewers were able to stop another show portraying Americas darling on the crystal clear story she wanted to be told, then what kept her image and name so clean and clear in the real world where we all witnessed the harsh truth or the real Michelle and Barack Obama first hand in reality?
