Sha’Carri Richardson Kicked off AA Flight for Disorderly Conduct

Team USA sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson made headlines once again, this time for reportedly being kicked off an American Airlines flight for being disorderly to the flight attendants.

The situation started when Richardson began filming while a flight attendant was about to give safety instructions to the passengers on the plane. After the flight attendant approached her, asking she not talk and film during these instructions, Richardson quickly turned the situation into an argument, yelling at the employee, “you jumped into my video so I am not recording you and I won’t stop recording!”

Watch below:

Passengers on the flight started to get uneasy once Richardson started shouting and acting unruly to the flight attendants, to which she responded that other passengers should mine their business. My rule of thumb is that you forfeit your right to have a private conversation when you are shouting in public and refusing to be calm and polite, especially if it’s a confined public space like an airplane.

This isn’t the first time Richardson has made headlines for negative behavior. In the summer of 2021, when the Tokyo Olympic games had been postponed one year due to COVID-19, Richardson was disqualified from competing for violating USADA (United States Anti-Doping Association) & WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) policies. Richardson failed her drug test by having THC in her system

Even after admitting that she was wrong and that she KNEW she broke the rules, marijuana lenient politicians, athletes and organizations made her seem like a victim of unfair treatment, which I call bull! The rules are laid out and clear from the beginning when you first become an athlete and no one is above the rules.

Above all else, Richardson is unfit and not worthy of the title “Olympic Sprinter,” seeing as she was her own demise and never competed in a Summer Olympic Games even though she qualified for the team back in 2020. On her return after her suspension that made her miss the Olympics, she was blown out by the competition and finished dead last.

The WADA rules are very tight with a small margin for error (unless you’re the Russian Federation and pay for your athletes to have their bans lifted). The rules state that “if you are in a 90 day testing window you are not allowed out of a 90 mile radius and must be willing to provide a urine sample with an agent watching you give in their company.”

Richardson’s name will continue to make headlines, but not for the reasons she wants. By showing a lack of self-control and accountability, Richardson will never be in the news for athletic achievements. But that is how it goes for athletes that care more about their image, persona, and political agenda than their actual athletic success.

“Turning Point USA’s commitment to the fight for freedom on campus is more important now than ever.”
