Senator Ted Cruz from Texas got a heck of a whitetail buck in South Texas this past week. His hunting adventures have caused an uproar from the intolerable left. After Senator Cruz took his picture to Twitter, he had over 9,000 retweets and over 20,000 replies.

Some of the replies being:

  • “So distressing to see people gaining such satisfaction out of slaughtering a beautiful innocent soul. When you use killing as entertainment, you should not be in politics.”
  • “Hunting is beyond barbaric, unnecessary, and prehistoric. It says EVERYTHING about someone. Shame on you.”
  • “Disgusting. Man without balls feeling macho next to dead beautiful animal.”
  • “What a complete monster. I apologize if this is triggering for anyone. This seriously infuriates me,”

Another reply even took the time to photoshop the picture of Ted and the deer.

Of course, Ted wasn’t in this hate battle alone. Other hunters came to Senator Cruz’s defense by replying to the hateful comments, and others posted pictures of themselves with their trophies as well.

As a hunter myself, I don’t understand people trying to justify saying hateful messages and threatening someone’s life because they disagree with hunting.

How do they think the life of an animal is more valuable than human life?

God put animals on this earth for us to use. In the Bible, after Noah built the Ark and spent 40 days on it after the flood, God came to him in Genesis 9:3 and said, “everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

What is your take? I would love to hear the response from hunters AND non-hunter! Let me know in the comments.
