This debate has been an ongoing issue for some time now. We’ve seen school districts across the country mandate our children to wear masks while they are in the classroom although, if they went down the street to the local grocery store, they wouldn’t be required to wear one. The logic is not adding up, and in some cases, we’re starting to see students fight back!

Recently, Gaylord High School in Michigan had roughly 75 students leave campus in a staged protest against mask mandates on school grounds. This came amid Gaylord School District’s sudden announcement of mask requirements just before the beginning of the school year.

While it is incredible to see students push back against these mask requirements, they are not only taking place in high schools across the country but also for preschoolers. Unfortunately, some of the most vulnerable are not able to stand up for themselves…

In a different scenario, I came across this video on Graham Allen’s Instagram page showing a toddler at a daycare center clearly upset over having to wear a mask and fighting the adult working to keep it on his face. It is unbelievably sad that we are doing this to our children.

I understand wanting to keep our kids safe but is this actually protecting them? Isn’t natural immunity going to kick in? How long are we going to abuse our kids like this? Are these procedures truly necessary?
