San Jose State University CANCELS My Event
In true California fashion, San Jose State University has canceled my speech that was supposed to be held tomorrow. The university’s reason for cancellation is that it is a TPUSA-sponsored event, even though the event was going to be hosted by another student organization on campus. Apparently, SJSU has refused to instate a TPUSA chapter on campus.
The President of the organization scheduled to hold the event received an email from the university’s event services. The email included the following:
“It was brought to the Event Services Office’s attention that a sign with the name, Turning Point, was posted at your table…”
“Turning Point is prohibited from tabling on campus and sharing the space with [student organization]”

Because of one person “reporting” TPUSA posters advertising my event titled “The Freedom Fight,” the university is preventing me from speaking on campus.
The irony of all this is that my scheduled speech for the students was going to be about the protection of free speech and the importance of having conversations with multiple viewpoints.
SJSU, located in the bay area, is close to where I grew up for 14 years of my life. In 2016, I was silenced and shut down by my peers in high school for having a differing opinion.
This is why we fight. Why are we allowing a public university to silence and shut down an organization whose primary mission is to bring conservative viewpoints (free markets, small government, and freedom) to college campuses, the places that have become echo chambers for left-wing talking points only?
I will NOT allow this university to silence me in the very place where I was first silenced.
On October 12 at 1:30pm, I will be taking to the streets of San Jose State University to interview students and hear what they have to say.
On October 13th, I will be heading to UC Berkley, arguably one of the most liberal areas in the country, to continue having meaningful discussions about the most prominent culture and political issues in our society.
Get ready, because this is just the beginning of “The Freedom FIGHT.”
