What happens when we remove the concept of God from society?
I believe we are starting to see the results of such a cultural shift in 2020. We lose faith in anything bigger than a flawed human race and cannot cope with the reality of finite resources, imperfect people, and the existence of evil in our world. We burn down buildings, churches, and businesses because we have no faith foundation to fall back on when the going gets tough. We don’t see one another as equal beings created in the image of God, worthy of equal respect and dignity–we divide ourselves into as many tiny categories as possible: race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.
We lose sight of the big picture and become hyper-focused on ourselves. We become the me-me-me generation.
We are rapidly removing God from society–literally, by preventing people from attending church services in 2020 but allowing full airplanes to fly around the country. By removing the Pledge of Allegiance from our classrooms. By saying it is “conservative rhetoric” to claim we are one nation under God.
This is a precursor to a passionate belief in something else–government–which inevitably leads to complete government control in our society through communism or socialism.
A phenomenal op-ed piece was recently published in the Western Journal outlining this phenomenon, explaining how the removal of God from society led to the Holocaust and communist Russia. I highly suggest you take the time to read this critical perspective and share it with others when we have decided to shut God out of our society rather than accept faith as the foundation for our culture.

I pray for our nation, today and every day, that we may regain our footing on a solid foundation of faith. Belief in something bigger than ourselves–call it God or another name–has always been a part of who we are as Americans. In 2020, we are starting to see the result of what happens when we lose this foundation, but it’s not too late to reverse course.
God is so good all the time, and we desperately need His help in regaining America’s humanity. I ask that you join me in praying for our nation and leaders to return to our roots of faith!
