Remember that article I put out a couple weeks ago about the Burmese Python?

Well looky here…. The biggest snake ever reported in Zolfo Springs was spotted and killed.

Two Florida cousins found a Burmese python weighing 300 pounds, 16 foot 4 inches long on their family property just outside of Tampa.

The snake was found on the side of the road by Aaron Brown, who called his cousin William Wilkerson for backup.

The duo hooked and shot the snake before learning how big the python actually was.

“We measured him and laid him down and the two kids down beside him to get a rough idea and ended up finding a tape measure,” Wilkerson said.

Afterward, the reptile was given to a snake hunter, Dustin Crum for further inspection. When they skinned the snake, they found 100 eggs inside.

“We are down in the Everglades trying to stop these pythons from migrating further north in all directions,” Crum told Fox 13. “Hopefully this is a rogue snake, and they haven’t migrated this far north. These boys stopped an invasion by eliminating a big breeding snake like that.”
