Radical activist Angela Davis sat down with Henry Louis Gates’ PBS Series “Finding Your Roots,” a show where Gates talks about the ancestral history of celebrity guests. While on the show, Gates revealed that Davis is a descendant of one of the white settlers who traveled to America on the Mayflower. Davis, clearly shaken by this news, looked extremely disappointed and started repeatedly saying, “no” over and over again.

Angela Davis is a radical who done more to increase racial tension in America than decrease it. Davis is a former Communist and describes herself now as a Marxist and a feminist. In the 1970s, she was a member of the Black Panthers. Davis was also placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List after guns belonging to her were used in a takeover of a California courtroom that resulted in the murder of four individuals. Despite her violent pass, she is currently a professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Davis has spent her entire career pushing the radical racial narratives we hear far too often. Davis promotes the idea that America is a systemically racist country that was founded on racist principles and actively suppresses the success of black citizens. She has also expressed support of the implementation of reparations for the ancestors of slaves.

Given the fact that she is related to the people who colonized this continent and founded what would soon become the United States, I’m curious if Davis would be a recipient of reparations or a benefactor.

The irony of this revelation on “Finding Your Roots” is hilarious. But it serves as a reminder to everyone that individuals should not be held responsible for the actions of their ancestors. Radical race hustlers in America will constantly push the concept that white people should feel guilt or shame for their ancestors. But this is unethical and disrespectful. Why should someone be held responsible for something a person did two hundred years ago?

Maybe Davis will learn her lesson after discovering the truth of her own ancestry.
