You guys have all heard me talk about Nikole Hannah-Jones. She’s the primary author of the anti-American 1619 Project which ridiculously asserts that America’s founding was in 1619 when slaves were first brought to the British Colonies, and slavery and racism are the basis on which America was founded. She falsely claims that “one of the primary reasons the colonists decided to declare their independence from Britain was because they wanted to protect the institution of slavery,” and has unsurprisingly received criticism from commentators on both sides of the political aisle due to her brazen efforts to lie about and change American history.
She’s also caught heat for admitting to hiring “almost exclusively black staff” as a “non-negotiable” for the 1619 issue in The New York Times Magazine. By the end of 2020, after receiving ongoing scrutiny from both the Left and Right, Hannah-Jones took measures to cover her tracks and redeem her reputation by dishonestly positing that the 1619 Project “never claimed that 1619 was America’s true founding–” which is odd, considering this interview where she inquired “What would it mean to consider 1619 our founding and not 1776?” Let’s also not forget the numerous issues printed of the 1619 Project that alleged this exact claim on the front page.
To make matters worse, thanks to a report by the Federalist, we now know that Hannah-Jones described white people as “bloodsuckers,” accused the white population of being the “biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world,” alleged that Africans arrived in the Americas “long before Columbus or any Europeans,” and stated that Christopher Columbus was “no different than Hitler” in a wickedly racist ope-ed she wrote as a student at Notre Dame University in 1996.
Nikole Hannah-Jones is a racist and a liar—and she’s exactly what radical, progressive colleges and universities are looking for. It should be no surprise to you to know that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has offered Miss Hannah-Jones a whopping $185,000 a year to teach as a professor. That’s right. Her infamous propaganda and short-lived fame has earned her a position in educating the future adults of America.
