What do you call a professor who thinks that people should be discriminated against because of their race?
Dr. Ekow Yankah, a professor in the Cordozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, raised eyebrows in 2017 when he wrote an article for the New York Times titled Can my Children be Friends with White People?
In his article, Yankah claims that it is now “impossible” for him to be friends with white people. He argues that history proves there are few reasons for a person of color to trust white people. Yankah goes on to explain that he would discourage his children from having friendships with any white people until they could prove themselves.
Following these absurd remarks, Yankah went on Tucker Carlson’s show to double-down on his opinions. Carlson refuted Yankah’s teachings and argued that his beliefs are more racist than what he claims to be fighting against.
This isn’t a case of “reverse racism.” This is just racism. If the races were reversed, any white professor with a history of similar remarks would be immediately suspended by the university. Making an assumption of a person and then judging them differently because of their race is the textbook definition of racism.
Yankah is just another example of the double standard that the left gets away with. If you were a white student in Professor Yankah’s class, wouldn’t you feel concerned that he has prejudiced thoughts towards you because of your skin color?
