Pro-Life Advocates Brave Snowy Weather for Annual March for Life in Washington DC

Despite rough winter conditions, thousands of pro-life activists have converged in the nation’s capital for the annual March For Life.

Considered the largest celebration of the pro-life movement, the March For Life event is currently underway, championing the principles of “education and advocacy.” Despite the harsh weather conditions, the Pro-Life movement remains resolute, emphasizing that life is an inherent human right that deserves acknowledgment and protection from conception onward.

Even with the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, transferring abortion legislation authority back to the states, there is a collective recognition among participants that the work is far from over. Since the abolition of Roe v. Wade, over 62 million lives have still been lost from legalized abortions. Attendees at March for Life are speaking out about being the “Post-Roe generation” that will continue to defend the lives of the unborn.

Addressing the march this year were Speaker Mike Johnson and House Pro-Life Caucus Chair Chris Smith, who highlighted the importance of recent legislative achievements. Two key pieces of legislation, focused on supporting pregnancy resource centers, successfully passed the House this week.

“We’ll take this week, as we do each year, to remember the value of every single human life,” Johnson said in a press conference prior to the march. “We believe that it’s important to stand by families during unplanned pregnancies … We want to make it easier for working mothers and moms and dads to start and raise a family.”

Amidst the rally’s agenda, attendees can look forward to hearing from several Pro-Life speakers and enjoying live concerts, with worship singer Danny Gokey among the performers.

The March For Life stands as a testament to the resilience and commitment of the Pro-Life movement, symbolizing the future of America—a Post-Roe America where the protection of every life remains an essential goal.
