President Signs Executive Order Expanding IVF Access

President Donald Trump signed an executive order effectively expanding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) for couples seeking it.
The order is an attempt to increase the U.S. fertility rate, which, according to the White House, is at an “historic low,” decreasing 3% from 2022 to 2023.
Moreover, the order is designed to enable financially-burdened families to afford IVF, which is not completely covered by healthcare, and ultimately lower the cost for everyone seeking it.
Addressing these points, the order states the following:
“The Order directs policy recommendations to protect IVF access and aggressively reduce out-of-pocket and health plan costs for such treatments.”
“The Order recognizes the importance of family formation and that our Nation’s public policy must make it easier for loving and longing mothers and fathers to have children.”
Many critics on the left believed Trump would be an antagonist of so-called “women’s issues” such as IVF. Yet, while campaigning for the past election, he said he would help lower the cost for IVF and have either the government or insurance cover it.
If you want to hear my full and honest thoughts on IVF and similar subjects, see the following episode of my former podcast “The Spillover.” In this episode, I talk with guest Katy Faust, author and activist for children’s rights:
On a prior episode of “The Spillover,” I had a compelling, truth-revealing discussion with Allie Beth Stuckey covering the dark side of the birthing business and what many mothers are unaware of regarding conventional childbirth:
It will be worthwhile to see if expanding IVF access is an effective solution to increasing the nation’s fertility rate.
