Can you imagine your professor calling for your parent to be hit by a drunk driver simply for making their OWN medical decision?! That is precisely what happened at Pennsylvania State University from one of their own faculty members, Dr. Edward J. Fuller, an Assistant Professor of Education.
In a since-deleted tweet by Dr. Fuller, he called for people that wear masks to “drive drunk and speed thru the neighborhoods of pro-COVID parents” as a way of expressing their “freedom and rights.”
This tweet was in response to school-choice activist Corey A. DeAngelis’s opposition to mandatory masking in schools.
No matter you’re personal opinion on COVID, masks, vaccines, or therapeutics, calling for violence against other people should be an obvious boundary to stay far away from. Especially as a tax-funded employee whose job is to educate the youth and be a role model for upcoming generations! The bottom line is violence should never be advocated for, and this professor should be stripped of their position for this insanely inappropriate outburst.
TPUSA contributor and host of Human Events Daily, Jack Posbiec, called out the atrocious actions by the Penn State professor, resulting in the university’s administration getting involved. In the email screenshot seen below, the Penn State Dean assured that they “strongly condemn” the tweet and “do not condone nor advocate for violence.”
After the public outcry and attention drawn to the situation, Dr. Fuller made his previously public Twitter profile private.
