NYC Mayor Asks Citizens to House Illegal Immigrants in Their Private Residences

The city of New York continues to crumble under the weight of illegal immigration and in the latest attempt to house the influx of migrants, Mayor Eric Adams is now proposing that New Yorkers house migrants in “private residences.”

During a press conference on Monday, the Mayor announced, “It is my vision to take the next step to this faith-based locales and then move to a private residence.” He explained, “They have spare rooms.”

Mayor Adams stated that there are currently New Yorkers with “spare rooms,” that are struggling under “economic challenges.” He explained that this proposal could be a good way to put the “$4.2 billion dollars” the government plans on spending on illegal immigrants “back into the pocket of everyday New Yorkers.”

Since last spring, the city of New York has seen an influx of over 65,000 illegal immigrants make their way to the city and officials have run out of places to house them. Mayor Adams recently announced that 50% of New York City hotels are currently filled with illegal immigrants. New York City’s Mayor is also sheltering adult migrants in school gymnasiums where children are actively present

Other hotels in the city have denied wanting to get into the business of sheltering migrants as more stories of migrants trashing hotel rooms and causing chaos in the surrounding areas have emerged.

In a recent exclusive, whistleblower, Carlos Arellano, sat down and discussed how over 5,000 illegal immigrants are currently staying a block away from Times Square in the ROW NYC, a hotel that previously rented out rooms for upwards of $500 dollars a night.

He detailed incident reports of 10 to 14-year-old migrants getting drunk inside of the hotel, migrants trashing hotel rooms, reports of domestic violence, and gunmen constantly active on the premises.

This hotel is being funded by the $275 million dollar contract that Mayor Adams signed at the beginning of 2023, to house thousands of illegal immigrants in hotels across New York City. According to Arellano, the migrants receive a free hotel room, laundry service, housekeeping, transportation, and health care.

Under this contract, the city is budgeting around $55,000 per migrant.

Adams has since asked for New York’s 40-year “right to shelter” law to be suspended as the hotels, streets, and emergency shelters become overrun with illegal immigrants.

Both the city and state of New York have declared states of emergency as the influx of illegal immigrants continues to flood the “sanctuary city” and Adams’ proposal that New Yorkers house migrants in their “private residences,” is the latest example of how out of control the illegal immigration crisis has gotten throughout the country.
