On March 28, Frontlines TPUSA reporters covered “No Kings” protests in New York City, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, Nevada, and in Los Angeles, California.

The reporters found a variety of scenes featuring protesters, some with displays, some dressed up, and some focused on different issues.

No Kings is conducted by Indivisible Action, which is a part of the 501(c)(4) organization called Indivisible Project. Indivisible states the following of the past weekend’s demonstrations:

“On March 28, millions of us made it clear: we don’t do kings in America,” the No Kings website states of its recent coordinated protests that took place nationwide. “Our nonviolent movement is only growing.”

No Kings is a protest directed toward stopping “the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to demand a real democracy. We believe that politics is too important to leave up to the politicians – it requires all of us to get on the field,” the website further states.

The various protests at times became rowdy, prompting police to take action toward certain hectic crowds. According to Frontlines, protesters attempted to break into a federal building, prompting officers to deploy non-lethal tear gas “for the third time, which dispersed most of the crowd,” in Los Angeles.

Groups in New York City held up cutouts of Luigi Mangione while protesting his imprisonment and advocating for his release.
