Netflix has quietly canceled the children’s show “Ridley Jones” which featured a non-binary animated bison character who came out to her grandmother in a cringe-worthy clip.
Most media companies are enlisting subliminal messaging tactics, like only using social justice warrior-approved phrasing, or tweaking algorithms to favor progressive topics. But companies like Disney, YouTube Kids, and now Netflix, have been very forthright about their intention to indoctrinate the next generation.
“Ridley Jones” first aired in 2021 and just released the fifth and final season last week. The show’s creator, Chris Nee complained on Twitter about the lack of advertisement for the newest season.
In 2021 Nee stated, “I am here to change the world. Or retire trying. I know what it is to be ‘othered.’ My job is to show the world as I want it to be.”
The show centers around a female bison named Fred who, in Episode 8, came out as non-binary to her grandmother, who is voiced by Cyndi Lauper. The children’s series is a two-time Kid Screen Award winner and Emmy nominee.
The show was “quietly dumped” following a significant amount of backlash from parents who don’t want their children exposed to topics of a sexual nature at such a young age.
“Do your kids watch Ridley Jones?” one parent on Twitter asked, “It features a female bison who identifies as neither female nor male and wants to be referred to with ‘they/them’ pronouns. Quietly slipped in there. Drip drip drip… What a message to send to young girls in particular.”
Simply put, children do not need to learn about the intricacies of gender theory while watching a tv show, and parents are tired of Hollywood making every new series about the newest social justice phenomenon. No parent turns on the television in hopes that they’ll find a clip of Cyndi Lauper walking parents through how to apologize for using the “incorrect pronouns.” I’d say most people are tired of finding a new show or movie to watch only to be preached at by the religious zealots of liberalism.
