As meat shortages sweep across the US amid the pandemic, the number of hunters has soared!
I have to admit; I haven’t stressed about these shortages like most people because my freezer is full of wild game harvested from last hunting season. Due to all of this, many states are witnessing an increase in hunting and fishing licenses being sold due to the pandemic.
According to Fox News, a lady from Georgia picked up hunting so that she “could find her next meal amid potential food shortages.” At the same time, others picked it up to get away to clear their minds.
To me, those are both great reasons to get outdoors. One of the main reasons I hunt is for the clean, pure, organic protein I get from harvesting an animal. I also get outdoors for the peace and tranquil state of mind. There is nothing quite like being outdoors well before the sun comes up, and getting to experience the world come to life before your very eyes! Whether you are hunting or not, I highly suggest trying it out!
I will leave you with this straightforward question.
Do you know where your meat comes from?
