Is Lil Nas X converting to Christianity, or is he engaging in a blasphemous grift?

The controversial artist has once again come under fire after teasing his upcoming single, “J Christ,” leaving fans and critics questioning his intentions behind this latest project.

Back in 2021, Lil Nas X released a partnership with Nike featuring the “Satan Shoe,” a sneaker with a bronze pentagram on the top, an inverted cross, and a drop of real human blood in the bottom. These shoes sold out almost immediately after dropping, and gave Lil Nas X a significant amount of backlash after he previously branded himself to children with his song “Old Town Road.”

Prior to the shoe launch, Lil Nas X also released the music video to his song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” which included imagery of him sliding down a pole from heaven into hell. Throughout the video, it appeared he was taking on the role of Satan.

Lil Nas X has openly glorified Satan, and his content is clearly intended to represent behavior that is of the devil.

Now, with the upcoming launch of his latest single about Christ, Lil Nas X is claiming that he has turned to a life of Christianity. He posted a photo appearing on a cross as if he was crucified with the caption, “My new single is dedicated to the man who had the greatest comeback of all time.” Along with this post was a short video of Lil Nas X transforming into a cross.

Lil Nas X is claiming that he doesn’t want to “mock” Christianity, but it is the blatant symbolism that says otherwise. His music and imagery are outwardly mocking and blaspheming Christianity and God. This is clearly intentional.

After these posts circulated on the internet, Lil Nas X claimed that he was going to attend Liberty University to take a Christian Leadership and Biblical Studies course. This is the ultimate troll and grift to Christians. If you look at his “acceptance” letter it is signed by “Jerry Falwell President.” Fallwell is no longer the president of the university and passed away in 2007. This is all a PR stunt to gain traction and attempt to convince Christians of his change in heart which is blatantly not there.

Most recently, Lil Nas X posted a TikTok of him mockingly taking “communion.”

Christianity will forever hold the title of the most mocked religion and disrespected religion in society, especially in Hollywood and the music industry. Many people have been criticizing the singer for his blatant mockery, and he has not made any statements other than continuing to grift Christians and mock God.

This is not art, it is blatantly disrespectful behavior coming from an openly gay artist and should be condemned in its entirety.
