Great SCOTT! Things have gotten SO out of control that we have to dial it back a few years. Okay, more than a few, let’s go back a few hundred years.

1776 might seem like a long time ago but think about it, that’s three, maybe four great grandparents, and we are back. Back to the birth of this beautiful country; but how did it change so quickly? How did we go from dying for our beliefs to laying down our rights every day to a tyrannical government?

The truth is, America is a young country. We have progressed in many ways, but we have also regressed in many ways.

America began as an imperfect pursuit of perfection, meaning that we recognized that there were flaws to be handled; holes that needed to be filled in our society. That didn’t stop us from striving to be better; it was a motivation for us.

Now you look at our government’s state, and the only way people want to “fix” the problems in our nation is to make the government bigger. That’s the exact OPPOSITE of what we set out to do. A smaller government so that the PEOPLE of our country could unite and work together to be better.

Tyranny is when a government comes in and tells you to be better. But when it happens organically, when it is the people that decide how being “better” is meant to be, that’s what AMERICA is ALL about!
That’s what makes us the greatest country on the freaking planet!

That’s what makes us America. That’s why we can NEVER forget 1776.
