Leftists Have Completely Forgotten September 11th
As the somber 20th anniversary of September 11th approaches, many will say “Never Forget.” Sadly, Leftists have completely forgotten.
Those who still love our great country remember the pain of 9/11 and vowed on that day in 2001 to never forget. I was one of them. I am the wife of a 9/11 survivor.
I don’t feel passionate about 9/11 for personal reasons, but rather for patriotic reasons. I love our great nation. I am grateful for our soldiers, first responders, and everyday heroes who were involved with 9/11 and beyond.
Many on the Left quite honestly claim that they hate this country. It is they who have forgotten. They see Memorial Day as part of a “Long Weekend.” We see it as a time to thank and pay tribute to those who have served our country. Leftists kneel before the flag, we stand proudly with tears in our eyes, proud of our nation and those who fought for it.
Leftists push communism, a system of government where everyone is equally poor and without luxury. It is these same people who take TikTik videos on their $1000 Iphones while using a Mac Book and wearing limited-edition sneakers.
Conservatives believe in capitalism, the American Dream, and picking yourself up by the bootstraps. We work hard because we have pride in ourselves and know that arduous toil is always rewarded.
It is necessary to point out these stark differences because it clearly shows who loves America and WHO REMEMBERS.
My husband was late to work on September 11th. He was the CEO of a company on the 102nd floor of One World Trade Center. He saw the towers crash before his eyes. As horrific and life-changing as this was, his seven timely colleagues suffered a far greater horror. This horror is why the biased and political actions of the Liberal ruling class are disgusting. Somehow, they have managed to forget. Somehow, they have managed to politicize death by terrorism.
In an attempt to remedy the pathetic political ills of Liberals, we must honor our fallen heroes. Giving honor is so much stronger than posting a black square to virtue signal or berating someone for using the wrong pronoun.
Instead of virtue signaling and canceling, it is far more important to remind people that Americans are resilient. We are strong. We are powerful. In the face of great tragedy, we will unify to effectuate actual change. Without “mostly peaceful protests,” breaking shop windows, stealing, throwing Molotov cocktails, or threatening innocent passersby, we know how to achieve goals, experience success, and be role models.
On September 11, 2021, we MUST show our love for the country by conducting our own celebrations because we will not let terrorism win. The sad brand of terrorism we are experiencing now is not like that from nearly two decades ago. It’s cheap, it’s entitled, it’s forgetful. This time, it’s Americans who hate this country simply because they couldn’t control the outcome of an election in 2016. They would rather burn the country down instead of shine lights in the sky to honor life. For them, the memory of 9/11 may be distant or even irrelevant, for the rest of us, it’s personal. We will never forget.
